Orion lied on a smooth rock that overlooked the descending cliffs that left into Ohu's forest. His head rested on his paws, his tail curled tightly against his back. A gust of wind traveled up the cliffside, ruffling the red Akita mix's fur. Orion let out a huff. Man, was he bored. He wasn't hungry, so hunting was out of the question. He couldn't hang out with the other young males as they were either busy with other things or just weren't in the mood. Spending time with the elders was just asking to be put to sleep with lectures about how he shouldn't be lying around or wandering aimlessly, being Weed's son and all.
"Tch," Orion scoffed. "So what if I'm Weed's son? Can't I have any fun anymore?"
Despite his annoyance, Orion could understand why everyone was acting so down lately. It'd been that way since the end of the last war. The loss of so many friends and family had hit Ohu hard, and one year of mourning wouldn't magically make it go away. Still...Orion missed the times before, when he could goof off with the guys and go on adventures. Now, dogs were relying on him and Rigel to grow up and serve as their father's right hand dogs. Although no one had said it, Orion knew that they were mostly referring to him. After all, wasn't he the one butting heads with everyone, even his own brother? Orion tensed up a bit, memories of Sirius flashing in his mind. His eyes darkened, remembering seeing his older brother's lifeless body on the beach. As much as the red male wanted to scoff at the idea that he'd fallen dead because his "precious bear husband" had been killed, a pain struck Orion's heart. What if things had gone differently? What if...he...had acted differently?

Bella had been feeling rather good today. The female had her ups and downs of course, but it was like that with the whole of Ohu for the last while. She could be thankful for the days where she felt like this, where her mind didn’t feel too crowded, or she could enjoy what was around her instead of mourning her poor dear brother and the rest of the fallen soldiers. Still, even on the best of days she would never forget them, no her brother would be in her heart forever, and he would be forever missed by everyone.
She passed along wondering what to do, she wasn’t hungry enough to hunt, so perhaps she could go and find someone to hang out with, Shou perhaps? She thought she got along with him well, and enjoyed his company. Though she didn’t know where he was. She could also find someone in her family! She always liked being around them, no matter how hot headed some of them could ge-
oh! Speak of the devil. Lo and behold her brother was right up ahead! Well, she did say she loved her family and spending time with them, no matter how rash they could act. She was happy to see her brother, and trotted up to him quickly.
“Orion!” She woofed, putting on a smile for him. She doubted that he would want to see her sad, just as Sirius wouldn’t. “What are you up to?” She asked curiously, wondering if he would be getting up to any mischief.

"Eh?" Orion murmured, being torn from his thoughts. He looked up, seeing his little sister padding up towards him. He watched her, unsure of how to feel about her showing up. It wasn't the company he had in mind, but he supposed talking to Bella wouldn't hurt. It beat just lying around like a wet long all day.
"Nothin'," he responded simply, yawning a bit. "Just lying here, feeling the wind in my fur." He paused, smirking a bit under his paw. "I saw a bird poop up here, too. Better watch your step, gehehe..."

The akita mix’s eye’s widened, and she looked at the ground and her paw pads in a panic. “Ewww!!” Bella barked, though she didn’t see the poop the Orion claimed to have she made sure to be careful, hoping up onto the rock that Orion was sitting on, nearly smushing her brother in the process. “Move your big butt over!” She woofed, sitting down whether the older sibling moved out of the way or not.
“It’s pretty nice up here! Hope the cliff doesn’t crack and we both fall to our doom!” The akita thought aloud. It wasn’t a real fear, as she assumed the rock and ground looking over the cliff was more than sturdy enough the hold them, but she was trying to get a chuckle out of Orion. “How have you been doing? I’m surprised you aren’t hanging out with the other guys, unless you were just waiting to spend some time with your kind-hearted sister!” she told him, hoping he was okay. Though she wouldn’t outright bring it up (yet) she always worried about how Sirius’ death affected Orion. She worried about her whole family, more than she would worry about herself thatvwas for sure.

Orion tried to hold back his laugh, letting out a rather undignified snort. He shifted over on the rock, providing Bella some more room. "Kind-hearted, eh?" he scoffed, cocking a brow. "More like big-mouthed. What if I'd been hunting for something up here, eh? You would've scared it off." Despite his words, Orion's tone was quite playful, rather than malicious. "The guys are all busy, anyway. No time to hang these days."

Orion’s snort made Bella crack an even bigger smile, causing the akita mix the giggle. It was her turn to snort sarcastically when Orion retorted with a goofy scenario, and she prodded his cheek with one of her paws. “Oh please, brother! I love you but even without me here you would have lost a catch with those big galloping paws of yours!” She joked, “Not to mention smell you! I could smell you all the way from the other side of Ohu!” She continued, a playful smirk on her face.
“I suppose things do get busier the older we get... We can hunt now, so that’s a responsibility we have to take care of from time to time,” Bella mused, looking down into the forest. “Hunting isn’t so bad though, I don’t mind having responsibilities. It’s better than being forced to sit around and do nothing,” Bella couldn’t help but admit, she thought her brother felt the same as well, surely bold and brash Orion enjoyed taking charge and doing things like hunting rather than being treated like a pup.

"Bleh," Orion retorted, sticking out his tongue. "Don't call 'em responsibilities. It makes them sound boring." Orion stood up, suddenly leaping from the rock and crouching down in a play bow. "Hey...I've got an idea. The old guys want prey so bad? Let's go and find a giant bear and drag it back here, haha!" Orion's slime then slipped a bit. He hadn't thought about it, but bringing up bears like that so soon after Monsoon probably wasn't the best idea. The red Akita mix cleared his throat awkwardly.

Bella rolled her eyes playfully, of course her brother would hate such a word! Responsibilities didn’t alwyas have to be boring, he just made them that way by thinking like that! Hunting could be lots of fun! She watched him leap off the rock, smirking happily as he mentioned they go off and find a bear and bring it back. Oh how she was about to agree with him with a blaze of determined spirit, just like when they were pups! But as Bella saw Orion’s smile waver, hers did as well, remembering that... yeah, perhaps this wasn’t the best conversation to be having. Bears were no laughing matter anymore, for sure her brother took down Monsoon... but not without casualties first...
Bella stared at her paws with a frown, letting the silence between the two sink in, before she finally spoke up again. “I-It’s Okay... Perhaps we could do something else? Some of the Ohu veterans or mother and father might like some fish or something! We could even turn it into a competition of who can catch more, though I already know I’d win that one!” Bella winked at her brother playfully, giving a confident chuckle as a means of provoking him. They could both do with having a little fun instead of sitting around and stewing in negative thoughts!

"...Heh..." Orion laughed a bit sheepishly. He stood up, licking his lips at the thought of some tasty fish. He only hoped that the old guys wouldn't mind if he had a quick bite for himself first. "Sure! Although you must be crazy if you think you're gonna win, ha!" Orion began bounding down the rocky trail, showing off a bit with the occasional somersault.
"C'mon, slowpoke!" he called back. "I'll nab every fish in the lake before you catch up!"

“Ha! Guess again brother!” Bella barked, leaping off of the rock and running after Orion. It wasn’t hard to begin catching up to him, but she was unable to get ahead of him, proving that Orion had had more training than her over their couple years of being alive. It made her jealous of her brothers, having been able to learn interesting moves and properly protect everyone. She would prove to everyone soon that she could protect everyone too, she just had to learn to fight first!
Back to having fun though, Bella smirked as she and Orion ran to the nearest source of water, which wasn’t far off. “You may catch a lot of fish, but I’ll catch the biggest fish you’ve ever seen! Even bigger than your head!” She joked. She could see the lake just up ahead now, and the female halted just at the edge of the bank. She didn’t want to rush into the water and spook the fish away! Instead she stepped in carefully, easily ignoring the coldness of the water from the brisk, fall weather. The fish were certainly swimming around today it seemed, as she saw one in the water already, aiming to catch it. She was careful not to make any sudden movements!

"Ha! We'll see, girlie!"
Unlike the more cautious and patient Bella, Orion rushed passed her, hopped onto the biggest rock that bordered the water, and leaped off it, spinning rather impressively in the air. He maneuvered himself in such a way so that it'd look like he'd land nose-first into the water. His eyes widened, and his tongue hung from his mouth from the rush. He was like a burning, red meteor plummeting towards the water.
"Attack of the Deadly Red Booby!" He cried out. He plunged into the water like a seagull diving into the ocean after a fish (or a booby, in this case). His body propelled forward with ease, cutting through the water as if it was nothing more than air. He snagged a fish in his maw, the rest of the school swimming away in a panic.

Bella was oh so close to gently catching her fish, when suddenly the ripples in the water caused by her brute of a brother scared it off. In fact, all of the fish in the area swam away as quickly as they could, leaving Bella without one to catch. She looked up from the water, giving her brother a sort of comical but annoyed expression. "YOU MADE ME LOSE MY CATCH!" She yapped loudly at her older sibling, trudging over to him through the water. "I'll show you a deadly red booby..." Bella lifted a paw, swatting Orion on the head (though not hard enough to actually hurt him). And he had the nerve to tell her she could have been the one to make him lose a catch earlier if he had been hunting!
"So much for catching all of the fish in the lake, genius! Now there's no fish to catch!" Despite her words she wasn't really all that angry, it was a pretty impressive move, she had to admit. Maybe that was something she could learn?

Orion snickered, tossing his catch onto the bank. He flashed his sister a devious grin, licking his lips. “Tsk, it’s not my fault if you can handle my awesome skills,” he said cheekily. He, of course, was also only playing around. Despite how much he teased her, Orion did care for Bellatrix. He just had a very strange way of showing it. Orion climbled onto the bank, shaking the water from his fur. He looked back at Bella. “The biggest fish hang out at the bottom of the lake, anyway...Perhaps if you had a technique like me, you’d catch one of those. Heh...we’ll call it: Attack of the Silver Crybaby, gyahaha!”

Psh! Bella snorted and rolled her eyes, “As if!” She woofed, following her brother out of the water. She supposed he had a point with the bigger fish gathering more near the bottom of the lake. “Hey! I’m not a crybaby! I haven’t cried like that since I was a pup! But I see some dogs never change, Big mouth!” As she stepped out of the water and climbed onto the shore Bella shook her own fur, being sure to try and spray Orion with the droplets of water. She looked at her brother with a knowing smirk, “However, if you’re such a professional, maybe you could teach me your move? Unless you’re too scared to be shown up by your sister,” Bella breathed out a quiet laugh, poking fun at her brother. This could be her chance to start training like she wanted! Any move she could learn would be at least something.

“Gyah!” Orion shouted, holding up a paw to shield himself from the water droplets. He then scoffed at Bella’s claim. “Tch, you think you can out-booby the booby master? We’ll see about that! Come with me.” Orion nodded towards the tock he’s jumped off of before, and began trotting around the lake, though not before stopping to pick up the fish he’d caught. He tossed it into the air and caught it in his mouth, gobbling it up without a second thought.
“Gehehe...” he snickered, licking his lips. No point in letting fresh fish to go waste, right? And there was no way he could teach Bellatrix his technique on an empty stomach. He continued to make his way around the lake, finally climbing onto the rock again. “You know, this technique would work better if you’re jumping from a waterfall, but I think it’s better for you to start here. I don’t want Dad yelling at me because you ended up breaking your bones or whatever.”
